All those posts about how Uchiha are scared of Gai and Lee are pretty much being proven true, because Madara needs to be taken down by senjutsu (Jiraiya’s dead, Naruto’s almost dead, and the dead Hokage are more or less useless right now), or taijutsu. And Gai is right there. Taijutsu. Gai. Right. There. Oh, and Minato’s useless as using Senjutsu in a fight. So it really is up to Gai. The man even pauses and smirks at the camera. Then jumps at Madara. While still on fire. He’s opened the seventh gate. There is a crater. Madara is still underestimating him.

Gai and Madara just exploded. Minato needs Kakashi to be the one to throw his Hiraishin kunai. That’s just sad. And Gai looked like he’d lost all his limbs for a moment (then Madara decided to attack, but he’s not important). Lee beat Minato to the punch. Lee is also using the Gates. Lee is also incapable of using chakra and currently astounding Minato and Gaara, the latter of whom actually goes “Rock Lee!” TenTen’s missing. TenTen’s going to save the day. Gai just broke one arm and a couple ribs. No biggie. Even though it was the SEVENTH GATE. Oh, wait, no. He’s about to go into the Eighth Gate. Hey, now would be a GREAT time for TenTen to show up, huh?

I believe Gai will not die. Inoichi, Shikaku, Neji we didn't see those coming. Kishi likes to work this way, so if it looks as Gai will die, he will not. I predict something like this: Kishi hyped 8th gate, so next chapter we are going to see another event, like what is happening inside Naruto mind. Naruto and Rikudou meet, etc. Naruto wakes up. Gai uses 8th. Gai is going to die, but Naruto's chakra shroud comes back and it saves Gai just like happened with Shikamaru, but this time, the shroud is better a new power ups.

naruto will not get the rinnegan cause hes suppose to be the body that both, thats why we dont see sasuke getting a beast tail cause it will make hes body and he got the eyes, then he will have both. madara will have hes right eyes, cause it will not make sense if we dont get to see what he can do with both. I'm pretty sure we were having a discussion about Kakashi's portrayal of their available options; with Gaara's sand being just as useful as the other options mentioned. I've never suggested Gaara's sand was going to be able to bring down Madara. You suggested that he would just absorb Gaara's attack, and I showed why that wouldn't be the case. His attacks would be just as useful as any of the other ones listed, which isn't saying much, but what I simply threw out there. Obviously, this lot isn't going to take out Madara.I think the final battle will be about what madara said when he stole Hashirama's senjutsu chakra. He told him that "two opposing forces work together to form all things in the universe". And he told that there is another interpretation of this that he chose over this one that is "person who obtain the power of both uchiha and senju can find real happiness". The two meanings will be opposed in the final battle Uchiha madara with both powers VS Naruto and Sasuke working together.

He is not awakening the rinnegan and will never be. It took 100 years for madara to awaken the rinnegan.Sasuke awakening the rinnegan in short periods of time wont make any sense and it will destroy logic. You need Senju DNA, and presumably be close to death to awaken the sages eyes. Sasukes situation ticks both of these boxes. What aren't you seeing? Or, are you going to sit there, shaking your head in denial until you're proven wrong by Kishi.

The whole backing behind that though is the argument about body and eyes. If Sasuke obtains the eyes of the sage, he'll have the body too given the fact that it took both body and eyes for Madara to obtain the same thing. If he starts spouting out wood release, then that just solidifies it. So what's left, Naruto has the body, just not the eyes. Obito fills that requirement. One reason why I don't want Sasuke to obtain the eyes. Well, other than the fact that I'm sure everyone is sick of seeing them I would agree with that if it was not for the fact that the first has always been the representation of the sages body. "The younger son obtain the body of the Sage and eventually led to the Senju." Who always, always comes up when talking about the clan? Hashirama. Who's DNA has been a plot device for practically everything within the story as of late. Hashirama's. Who's DNA is the equivalent of Eternal life-support, plus not requiring a person to even eat or drink water? (Obito) Hashirama's. I could go on. But I don't think I need to. While it could be argued, which I do not agree with, but it could be argued that wood release is not a representation of the body, I think it's a pretty safe bet to say that the first and by extension his DNA is.

This is basically the exact same thing Madara did in order to achieve the Rinnegan applied Hashirama's DNA into his wounds or something like that and being near death, though the method isn't the exact same thing, but it's similar. No Rinnegan for Sasuke, Naruto is destined to be the strongest ninja in the end and he has been more than hinted to get the Rinnegan. If you remember seeing the shadow of the Rinnegan used with the Bijuus chakra he gotten except the 1 and 8 tailed that spooked Juubi.

The fact that Madara seems familiar with the release of the 8 Gates, and what we've been told of the technique, leads me to believe that he's going to be more than capable of handling it. naruto 668 is out. Now the sages eyes needed both the first DNA and Madara's eyes to achieve. If the older son who obtained the eyes eventually became the uchiha, and the younger son who obtained the body eventually became the Senju (The sage himself representing both body and eyes) I think we can infer for ourselves what that means for each side. For the senju there wouldn't need to be a body equivalent. They would just obtain the sages eyes if they got a hold of uchiha eyeballs i dont know what team work will sasuke and naruto do to beat madara, i mean 5 kage team work didnt do anything. which is hard to fight 5 ninja doing team work. but 2 ninja doing team work will work against a person who 5 s rank ninja could not beat or put him under pressure. 

2-tenten is the only person with chackra. the others who have just a bit of chackra are using it to fight zetzu. 3-madara got the body and the eyes...the body. he show the body when he take that beating. showing that he got the body. then he got the eyes and show he got the eyes, when he beat the beast and seal them. 4-sasuke should have sage mode to boost hes future rinnegan jutsu, cause normal rinnegan jutsu will not work on him. and sasuke need something that could give him chackra, cause he will use 3 jutsu and he will be out. soo natural chackra is good. naruto already have a beast who has infinity chackra

I agree logically thats were this is all headed. Sasuke with being Near Death Hashirama's DNA Rinnegan. But I still am hoping it it something more then that. I just dont see how Sasuke having Rinnegan can help him fight Madara who already has it. Plus Sasuke has never used it while Madara has some experience at least with understanding how it works. It just doesn't seem to me at least to be the power up that will help him and naruto defeat Madara. I know its a really long shot but im still hoping he gets the elder sons eyes.

Naruto and Sasuke will pair themselves up tailed beasts, and Sasukes perfect Susanno + Rinnegan, and bend Madara over infront of the whole world. I say tailed beasts, to my assumption Obito took the 8-tails and Ichibi, and along with the Minatos Kyuubi half, and is giving them to Naruto, which is also the beasts he hasn't fist bumped with. When he does so, he'll have a little bit of chakra from all the tailed beasts giving him a bad ass 10 tailed beast cloak sorta like Obitos, maybe. Gai in Death gate, teamed up with Lee in whichever gate he can use, and Tenten with her Sage tools could do some damage on Madara I think. If they all team up.So what was that about Minato not knowing senjutsu last week The translation for this chapter was poor so ill wait for mangastream. The chapter was a stall chapter that answered everyone's "complaints" although they were weak answers we still got them. And people were starting flame wars last week. Its still in the ass-pull zone to me, because of his explanation. His explanation basically reveals he has the same problem as Jiraiya and should've been an imperfect sage and not a perfect sage like Naruto.

The only reason it took Madara so long is because he use degraded Senju DNA in the form of Zetsu material. Kabuto has the proper Hashirama DNA from Orochimaru's proper cloning technique so Sasuke's results will be near immediate and maybe even stronger. It is possible for sasuke to obtain Rinnegan due to Kabuto using the 1st cells to heal him , Will it happen right away is the mystery.

They explained how Kakashi avoided Minato's Rasengan, and how Minato couldn't use Senjutsu against teen Obito because he couldn't knead enough chakra. Suigetsu was funny as usual. It was awesome to see Kabuto acknowledge himself and realize how because of their selfish intentions, they dragged everyone to war. To make Rikudou Madara get amazed by your power, and by that I mean the look on his face when Gai opened the 7th gate, you don't need anything else in life, it is the greatest moment a Taijutsu ninja could wish in his life. I will suppose that the "red steam" that Madara saw wan't even close to Gai's blue steam. Gai is not just a Hachimon Tonkou user, he is the best taijutsu user, ever! If God Itachi says a man is dangerous you should listen to him... So Gai dies with Red Steam and Rock Lee goes Super Saiyan I see what Kishimoto is planning... The sad thing is... I'm still afraid he is not going to die with 8th gate =( Like having someone stop him or even Kakashi kamuing him... sometimes Kishimoto trolls.I don't ever see Madara having both eyes and all of Jyuubi in him. That would mean the alliance failed. He'd just activate Mugen Tsukiyomi at that point.

I think now that I should congratulate you, man, so this would be Sasuke's power up. Now I understand when Kabuto said that he was the closest shinobi to the Sage he had Hashirama Senju cells along with him the ties are being linked now. What worries me though, is that Madara said he's nurturing new eyes. If Madara can't get Obito's anymore, then he'll go after Sasuke's right In other words, it's an ideal moment for him to get Rinnegan because he'll become a target of Madara. That would make the manga even more exciting.

I believe Madara has gotten as close as he's going to get. As I said, I see it being Jyuubi Sage Mode Naruto vs. Rikudou Madara. That's the most even fight there is. The whole point is to level the playing field and let them go at it. Plus, the original battle was Rikudou (savior) vs. Jyuubi to save the world the first time. Why woudn't it be Sage Jyuubi Naruto (savior) vs. Madara (Rikudou). The script, I beleive, was meant to be flipped and allow the power of the Jyuubi to take down the evil incarnation of Rikudou. It is fairly logical to assume that he is pumping hashi cells into sasuke. Orochimaru clearly had a stash that he infused Yamato with, Kabuto worked on Madara with them to make him able to use the Mokuton. 

And now Kabuto is mentioning them whilst talking with Orochimaru and Tobirama. It mightn't be saying "SASUKE IS RECIEVING HASHIRAMA SENJU CELLS" But It is most likely the case, It is after all the #1 safety line of the manga haha. Please, explain to me why Madara's ability to absorb techniques (jutsu), would interfere with the sand? It's his ability to absorb ninjutsu, in all it's forms, that would've allowed him to deal with the sand, but the fact that Raiton was pumped through it to numb his movements was slowing him, along with the crushing weight of the sand, which would've resulted in his sealing.

This does seem to be where its going. Obito is giving Naruto the Juubi Jin Mode and Kabuto is giving Sasuke the Rinnegan and we all know how Kishi loves parallels. What we accept as Naruto logic does not dictate plot for Kishi. If Kishi's end goal is to have Sasuke surpass Madara, then he will create the path to it that makes sense.

Besides, we actually can't logically say we know that time is in any way related to unlocking the rinnegan. We know that Madara was at the end of his life span But managed to barely stay alive through means of Hashi cells, had EMS, and Hashirama Cells being pumped into him. Sasuke currently has all three of those factors. He may just manage to do it in 20 years, as opposed to Madara's 100.

I knew it was kabuto but I was hoping it'd be anybody but him.. and " the cells of hashirama" it's now confirmed sasuke is getting the rinnegan. I was hoping that the Naruto vs Sasuke battle would turn up more epic but I guess not. It's pretty much gonna be psuedo 10 tails naruto vs sage mode rinnegan sasuke. Kabuto doesn't have his own SM, nor do any of the taka members or sound 5. Juugo doesn't even have a SM he can just utilize nature energy. Oro states the Kabuto still has his chakra/DNA which was the sinister chakra he was sensing.

This also confirms Oro is steal evil and he looked pissed that Kabuto now wants to protect Sasuke. The way I interpreted it was that Kabuto was using his knowledge of Hashirama's DNA to heal Sasuke because Sasuke already had Hashirama's DNA in his body thanks to previously having 6 (6!) Shirozetsu inside of him. He wasn't putting Hashirama DNA inside of him, he was just rejiggering the Hashirama DNA that was already in there to help speed up his healing. Madara did not expect that much power. I don't expect Gai to do anything really useful unfortunatly I know how shounen works, but I am almost sure that it will be a "cool as hell" death, I think it will go like Lee vs Gaara, I really think Kishi will mirror that match, we all know Gaara did not even use Shukaku, but who cares? Rock Lee was amazing.

Maybe Kabuto is probably pumping Juugo's cells into Sasuke but If Sasuke will be able to perform Snake Sage Mode thanks to Kabuto then with Juugo's cells he'd be able to passively absorb Nature energy while he moves thus there will be no time limit for his Sage Mode. naruto 668 is out. Although knowing that Guy is gonna die means that Lee will have to pull his weight and open some gates as well. Why is Rock Lee's team getting the middle finger treatment? First Neji, and now Guy? Also I wonder what Tenten is about to do? Also, I'm still not buying Minato having SM. To me it's still a load of bullshit, but whatever. Anyway, at least Kakashi warping the Rasengan was explained. Kabuto was obvious although it would have been better if it was someone else. Although, knowing that he finally discovered his true self was good. Why is Madara Uchiha taking his merry time with all this going on and not finishing anyone off? We have nurutu and Satsuki Kiryuin Uchiha coming back on scene and I just want to know how bad of a time Madara is going to have. Clearly he has lost a few ing brain cells after becoming the SOS6P and lost all enthusiasm and endeavor for this goal of Infinite Tsukuyomi. Cause the Madara about 15-20 chapters ago would roflstomp anyone that was in his way and took this war and each and every single attempt to actually try and stop him a mere joke whilst roflstomping the hokages and bijuu like they were roaches.

I cant wait to see it, but Rinnengan won't really be enough to even harm Madara. I guess Sasuke achieving senjutsu along with his Rinnengan is an option. I really wanna see how he fights with it though. He should gain the basics when he awakens the doujutsu, but thats still a farcry from Madara. Madara had to experience a near death experience in order to awaken the Rinnegan. The only one he got was when he was about to die of old age, meaning that if he was stabbed right after implanting the cells into himself, he would most likely awaken it at that time.

It's good to know about that because that power Sasuke is about to get is a signal that Naruto will have a tremendous power-up as well. naruto 668 is out. Is Madara really gonna achieve the eye of the moon plan or what?? The power of naruto is ridiculous and him becoming the Sos6p is rational and Sasuke getting Rinnegan seems alright but the amount of trouble Maddy will have on his hands is unfathomable but then again we have not seen his new found power. he descendants of the two sons unify the power that had once been separated, just as the Sage had hoped his sons would do. And then they'll fight, if only because destiny demands it. As far as the chapter goes, Kishi's been bringing back character development. Obito, Gai and Kabuto have been getting more fleshed out. I feel for Kabuto especially. So seeing these things, I can't be mad at this chapter or the last. As many of us predicted the no longer mysterious person next to Sasuke is revealed: It's Kabuto. Who else could it be? This was easy. It couldn't be Madara's brother because it's dead and probably nobody can find his body. And Jiraiya is dead (dead people don't return), I can't believe some people thought it was Jiraiya or Izuna. Kabuto finally realised his existence and he's no longer manipulated by Orochimaru.(to be honest Kabuto was only manipulated when he was a child, Orochimaru didn't tell him to start the Fourth Shinobi World War).

The shadow of the face with the Rinnegan was not meant to mean that Naruto will get the Rinnegan, it was meant to show that the Juubi sees the Sage of Six Paths in Naruto, and got angry scared and whatever because of that. Naruto had just saved everyone and himself from the Juubi's big ass, land changing attack. The Juubi basically had a "flashback" of sorts, reminding him of the only other person who was powerful enough to stand against him, which was the Sage of the Six Paths. If anything that image was foreshadowing Naruto becoming the Sage, not him getting the Rinnegan.

Some reader saying that gai should hit madara with some blow. but will gai in 8 gate hit harder then all the 9 different beast combine cause we see how madara got hit with they power. and he still stand up and that was before becoming the rikudo. So, the Shinobi who started The Fourth Shinobi World War - Madara Uchiha (Fake Madara) and Kabuto now turns to the good side. Hmm, this is Kishimoto's way he does the same thing now like he did with Nagato. First, he wanted to destroy Konoha, but then they all turns to the good side.*Nagato, Obito and Kabuto*. I have no idea how NARUTO will end. Kabuto and Tobi killed so many people and then. No wonder Guy is named Might Guy. He beat Kisame in their final fight Kisame was very powerful, but Guy more powerful maybe too powerful, just like Madara said but that doesn't mean that Guy is a threat to Madara. Rock Lee joins the battle, right on time! It seems that Might Guy will open the final 8 gate, "The Gate of Death" is he going to die we all ask? Seems so considering a powerful villain can kill an important character (Nagato killed Jiraiya, Obito killed Neji and now Madara probably will kill Guy). Great chapter, once again!

When did Madara ever say he implanted Zetsu's degraded Hashirama's DNA into himself? He implanted Hashi's pure DNA he took from Hashi himself after the battle at the valley of the end. He didn't even make any Zetsu's until after he awakened the Rinnegan, because he used the Gedo statue to make the Zetsu, and he didn't get the Gedo statue until after he awakened the Rinnegan obviously. The Zetsu's are cloned from the Gedo statue, that's why they are degraded material or whatever, not the Hashi DNA in Madara himself though.

One Is the formation of something through ninjutsu, one is its manipulation. What he absorbed is senjutsu, which is chakra blended with natural energy. And once again, the distinction between solid and liquid is meaningless. Your link doesn't suggest even a little that Madara could absorb Gaara's sand. I'm not sure what your point is with attempting to distinguish between chakra and ninjutsu, ninjutsu are created through chakra, just as senjutsu is created through chakra mixed with natural energy. Madara has never once absorbed Gaara's sand despite it being used against him on multiple occasions, time and time again. If you wish for something more obvious, here is Madara using Preta's absorption to take on FRS, and even after said absorption the sand exists, it simply has lost the chakra manipulating it so it sloughs off. Tenten: about to wither be key in taking out Spiral Zetsu (the pot), getting a bit more chakra for Naruto (gold and silver brothers) likely will save Samui and Atsui. Still waiting for Killer Bee to have some BS reason for being in there.

What does Naruto being the strongest have to do with Rinnegan? That logic only works if we assume Rinnegan is the ultimate ability. Naruto was never even hinted to obtain Rinnegan. It is a doujutsu. If anything, Sasuke will get it. Naruto will never have a doujutsu unless Sasuke gives Naruto his eyes. That shadow was to show the Rikudo, not hinting at Naruto awakening the eyes. Considering that both Naruto and Sasuke have been portrayed as equal character wise, it's not even 100% guaranteed he'll be the strongest. He might just end up tying with Sasuke.

For the first time in a while, my interest in this series has risen back up. I rather enjoyed this chapter, with finally figuring out who the mystery man was even though it was pretty obvious, but still. Though, I was a bit, but not really disappoint with the 7th gate being useless against Madara; but after 8-9 years after it was first introduced, we finally get to see the hyped 8th gate in action. I am very interested in seeing the 8th gate, and Gai's death. But am I a horrible person for wanting to see Naruto and Sasuke get back into action and not wanting to see all of this other stuff.

Either Guy will completely stomp Madara (effectively making our final villain's build-up pointless), Madara will still stomp Guy (rendering his hyped-up tech and self-sacrifice moot), or they'll be equals (a combination of both). I mean, Madara is the main villain. While it may be cool when Guy uses it, you and I both know that it's not going to stop Madara and his sacrifice will be pointless. I have been saying this since obito kishi does the most obvious thing possible and writes the most asspull predictable manga on the planet. id rather see lee go 8 gates then guy but maybe both will at the same time and both dieI hope for that instead of just gai. and ya i agree that spiral zetsu is yammato since there is no need to bring new characters at the end of the manga just use what you have and finish it. I think your criticism is valid but i don't think it would be pointless. There is no way that Guy straight up defeats madara, but he could injure him in some manner, making it easier for a newly-brought-back-to-life naruto to defeat madara.


So it's Kabuto after all, props to MeowNverse, I thought it was gonna be Kabuto but he's the one that affirmed it for me with one of his threads. Looks like he's still got dragon sage mode and he's helping Sasuke. I was right about the whole chakra signature thing being different because of many people too! Finally!

I felt pretty sad after realizing what Gai was going to do, reading the title and all that. This death is going to hit me pretty hard, but I hope he goes out in a blaze of glory and manages to at least injure Madara. I sure can't wait to see what he can do with the 8th gate open. And in a way I think we all saw this happening at some point, we were bound to see the 8 gates open eventually to show off how powerful it is. And that last page... Kakashi looks devastated that Gai is resorting to this. I can't wait for next week. considering the time that i invested in this series, i really want to get interested in it again but it ain't happening. the perfect jinchuriki ( aka bee) what happened to him? wheres the raikage right arm ( darui)? the hokage guard that uses FTG? i would think they could at least help minato? is that really all that the legendary konoha yellow flash can do teleport? kabuto found nirvana and now is helping sasuke at least now he can be killed by madara (looking forward for that). karin has the chakra chain power, yet naruto the only son of kushina (which from my understanding made her special even among the uzumaki) did not inherit this ability?

At "Kabuke or Sabuto" took me a moment to catch that but I always like Suigetsu's lines. I liked the dialogue between Kabuto. Like many people said, Itachi's jutsu to help Kabuto find his place in the world would influence Kabuto to be the man to help Sasuke out. Even in death, Itachi still helps his little brother. So who else started smiling and getting hype when Gai stepped up in front of Madara with that smile of his?! Leave it to Konoha's Green Beast to smile at the thrill of facing the Juubi's Jinchuuriki. I've always loved Gai but my respect for him.

Shut up at that moment Gai literally turns up and he put up a nice little contest. Of course his body gave out on him but look at Lee with the freakin save! Team Gai is lighting it up right here! Looks like it's Gai's time to go I had a feeling that he wouldn't use the 8th gate in this chapter but with the build up and epic poses, looks like Gai's death is a given this time around. Kishimoto can't wimp out on this one, even Madara is acknowledging his strength. Caterpillar will probably be so buck about this chapter. It looks like the hype is finally coming true!

The next chapter is gonna be a good one but I feel bad for Kakashi here. Yet again, he's gonna lose another comrade, my ninja has been through so much. A decent chapter overall, especially now the mysterious man is revealed. Most of us figured it was Kabuto so it's no surprise. I'm glad Kishimoto took the time this week to explain some 'plot holes' from previous chapters. Not only does it make sense why Minato never used senjutsu in his fights and how Naruto surpasses him, but we also found out how Kakashi is still standing despite seemingly getting hit by a Rasengan.

On top of that, we got to see some action with Guy. I'm not sure whether he'll actually die in future chapters since I wouldn't be surprised if most people get revived by the end of the war, but it will be awesome to see what the 8th Gate is capable of nonetheless. I gave it a 4 out of 5. Some very necessary explanations and a bit of action, but not much progression overall.

Another chapter, another "shocking" cliffhanger that doesn't really shock anybody but still makes us want to read the next Chapter when it comes out. Kishi continues to troll us like no tommorow. I liked the fact that obito is reviving naruto while kabuto is reviving sasuke, since those two kind of started this war, and that naruto and sasuke fought them both. Kabuto, called it. I told people that's why Karin couldn't pick up on his chakra. She barely recognized him anyway. It made sense.
Satisfied at least that Minato's sudden use of Senjutsu was explained.

I'm sure some technique will be pulled out of someones ass and guy will be saved revived. Kabuto looks like a more wholesome character now that he's escaped Izanami, new found conviction and determination. The symbolism and parallels between Obito/Naruto and Kabuto/Sasuke are quite surprising . Gai will go down fighting, truly fantastic and the chapter of the title; "The End of Youthful Days". I think I'm going to save my feels for when it does happen.
